Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi also known as Pindi is the fourth largest city of Pakistan is a twin city to Islamabad i.e Capital of Pakistan. Rawalpindi is an historical city located on the pothar Plateau, known for the existence of a buddhist community in Taxila area of Rawalpindi. British Raj during 1849 to 1851 set up the largest garrison town for British Army & it became home to the head quarters of Pakistan Army after partition in 1947. Rawalpindi is also a major transit point due to the presence of Grand Trunk Road & Benazir International Airport.
